Hey, there is a very slight chance I could get you some better hosting. Unfortunately, I'd need to know average bandwidth usage for the file and if you think it'd be legal to host it in America (would it count as a parody, and be protected because of that?).
I don't wanna get your hopes up too much, but it's worth a shot if it could get a faster host 
P.S. I like your Buffy film, and am glad that there are still some little guys willing to do the things that the big guys won't. |

There isn't really any average bandwidth for the MPEG file - it's hosted on my home PC via my broadband connection, and has only been available from there for the past couple of weeks. It's been on p2p for a year or two, though!
Recently the zipped RealVideo file had about 9Gb of downloads in one day...
And, yes, it's totally legal to host - there's nothing in the film that anyone else owns copyright of. |

Um, so if I can get hosting for it - would it be okay with you if I put it up?
The MD5 of the MPEG I have is, I believe, daf2d5327f81e07b56e2b6c7d5b5cdcd and 195,476,288 bytes. |

It seems pretty fast to download the RM from my server, and hopefully soon the MPG. |

It should download pretty fast (dled at 58kbyte/s for me, which is my maximum).

Transferred this month (Aug 1st-22nd) 11.854 gigabytes [per-day average of 577.447 megabytes]
% of this which was Buffy MPEG: 83.81%
% of this which was Buffy RM: 6.20%
Transferred last month 22.045 gigabytes [per day average 729.252 megabytes]
% of this which was Buffy MPEG: 90.65%
% of this which was Buffy RM: 6.00% |

Thanks for the info! That's actually not as much as I thought, my bandwidth could handle that (I get 40GB a month). It's only peak times (like after newspaper articles) that the downloads get too much. Hmmm... |

Yeah, there can be lots of fluctuations. For example the period Thu-22-Jul-2004 01:21 to Fri-23-Jul-2004 02:38 managed to get 2.225 gigabytes of transfer. |
